Ⅱ Type Diabetes Diet Cure

Scientists today reported that people with obesity-related type Ⅱ diabetic patients for many years, through two consecutive months, insist on very low calorie diet has been cured, at least temporarily.
Reported by scientists at the University of Newcastle written. This finding reversed the type Ⅱ diabetes assumptions. Ⅱ diabetes was considered to be a lifelong disease.
Although the study size is relatively small, but scientists at Newcastle University survey results show that the type Ⅱ diabetes cure is possible, not through drugs, but through diet.
11 diabetic patients participated in the study. In two months time, they must reduce the daily food energy intake to 600 kcal. 3 months later, 7 out of 11 people with diabetes better.
Led the study, Professor Roy Taylor, Newcastle University, said: "The disease of patients with diabetes for many years well, and this is very impressive --- and all because the diet for 8 weeks. This allows us to understand the occurrence of type Ⅱ diabetes fundamental change. It has long been considered, Ⅱ Type 1 diabetes patients with life-long, and will gradually worsen, but we have shown that we can cure this disease. "
Scientists on the 24th Conference of the American Diabetes Association has submitted the study report. Study shows that very low calorie diet (from diet drinks and non-starchy vegetable form) causes the body to prevent removal of the pancreas to secrete insulin in fat.
Insist on very low calorie diet by a volunteer medical team closely monitored. Number of researchers they did not use the same set of special diet of diabetic patients were compared. In research into the week after, stick to a diet of the volunteers before breakfast blood sugar level has returned to normal. Magnetic resonance imaging (M RI) scans showed that fat levels have returned to normal pancreas. Pancreas to regain the ability to secrete insulin.
After 8 weeks on a diet, the volunteers return to normal diet, but eat healthy foods and the suggested control of food intake. The 10 volunteers were examined again, in which seven people with diabetes has been better.
Taylor said: "We believe that this indicates the body type Ⅱ diabetes is a problem of energy balance if energy intake is greater than the consumption of energy, the rest will be stored as fat in the liver and pancreas, resulting in some people suffering from Ⅱ diabetes, we need further research is why some people are more prone than others with diabetes.
